The grapes for this wine were dried naturally in the hot Sicilian Sun, as the grapes ripen, the canes are cut and allowed to dry until they have lost 30% of their weight.  At this point the grapes are harvested, pressed and soaked, and the wine is aged for 6 months in barrique before bottling.

This bright ruby red wine is vivid, full and intense, displaying intense aromas of red fruits, spices and red flowers.  Warm full and well-balanced, with red fruits on the finish.

The vibrant red grapes used to produce this wine are sourced from vineyards in the hills around Lake Arancio in Sambuca di Sicilia in South West Sicily.  This is a young estate which was planted in 2005.
